This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome Extension and web application collect, use, and protect your information when you use our ATS resume tailoring and outreach services.

1. Single Purpose & Data We Collect

TailorCV is designed with a single purpose: to assist job applicants in tailoring their resume to match specific job descriptions, calculating ATS match scores, and drafting personalized recruiter emails. We collect only the minimum data required to deliver this service:

• User-Provided Profile & Master CV: Your candidate name, contact details, work history, and skills template that you input or save in the extension.
• Job Posting Content: Visible job descriptions, titles, company names, and recruiter contact emails extracted from the active LinkedIn job page you are viewing.
• Authentication Information: Google OAuth tokens used to identify your account session and facilitate optional 1-click email sending via Gmail API.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To extract key hard skills and dual acronyms from the target job posting.
• To generate tailored ATS-friendly resumes (in PDF and DOCX formats) using Google Gemini AI.
• To compute real-time ATS keyword match scores and gap analysis.
• To draft and optionally send personalized recruiter cold emails via your connected Gmail account.

3. Zero Data Selling & AI Training Protection

We believe your career data belongs to you:

• We DO NOT sell, rent, or monetize your personal information to any third parties, recruiters, data brokers, or advertising networks.
• We DO NOT use your resumes or personal information to train public AI models.
• All AI prompt evaluations are processed ephemerally with enterprise-grade encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

4. Data Storage & Security

Your Master CV and tailoring preferences are stored locally on your device via Chrome's secure storage API (chrome.storage.local). When you disconnect or uninstall the extension, all locally stored career data is immediately removed from your browser.

5. Google API & User Data Policy Compliance

TailorCV's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We request only the minimum necessary scopes (basic profile identification and optional gmail.send for user-initiated emails).

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You can clear your cached resumes, disconnect Google OAuth, or revoke application permissions at any time directly through the extension settings or by visiting Google Account Permissions.
